Veganic Living

Vegan + Veganic

Veganism is a moral imperative and a commitment to non-violence towards all life on Earth. It is a refusal to participate in the exploitation of all animals. Vegans do not eat animal products (including flesh, dairy, and eggs), do not wear or use animal products, do not use animals for work or entertainment, and, to the extent practicable, avoid products that contain animals ingredients and/or use animals for testing.

Veganic is a method of growing food crops organically, without pesticides, herbicides, and/or rodenticides, and using no animal inputs, such as manure, feathers, blood and/or bone meal, all of which are by-products of slaughtered animals. Organically grown produce, including “Certified Organic”, is frequently grown using animal slaughter by-products.

Anyone can be vegan and anyone can grow some food crops veganically, whether done on the windowsill, in planter boxes or raised beds, in a community garden, in a yard, or on a farm.

This website serves as a resource for vegans who are interested in growing food crops veganically.
